Survive and Thrive Domestic Abuse Service
Salary: £37,211 – 41,518 FTE per annum (Pro-rata for part-time hours - £29,768 - £33,214)
Location: Central Bradford
You will typically work 3 days a week in the office with the flexibility to work 1 to 2 days per week remotely. Our office space is wheelchair accessible.
Hours: 29.6 hours per week (Part-time) – Full time hours also available (37 hours per week)

We are part of an innovative multi agency partnership, Survive and Thrive, bringing together 3 organisations - Family Action, Staying Put and Women Centre , who are working together to develop a ‘one system approach’ with families affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. We strive to ensure individuals, children and their families have access to a high-quality service that works with them to be safe, increase stability and supports them to understand and manage the impact of trauma. We provide a single point of contact that enables access to all elements of our service.
Family Action are looking for a highly motivated and experienced manager to lead our Children and Families Service.
Main Responsibilities
• Leading a diverse staff team, holding regular team meetings, team development sessions and line managing practitioners.
• Ensuring that practitioners are trained and supported to deliver trauma Informed, evidence based, outcomes focussed work, and that evidence based outcomes measuring tools are embedded within practice.
• Supporting the continued development of systemic whole family working, ensuring the appropriate staff are recruited, trained and supported to carry out their roles.
• Lead on the continued development of the Survive and Thrive Children’s Offer, working with Survive and Thrive partners to ensure a joined up, innovative approach to working with service users across the Bradford District.
• Overseeing the development of new aspects of service delivery including our youth voice and engagement work .
• Representing Family Action in relevant external and internal service-related forums and participating in service development groups and strategic meetings which contribute to the development of DA work across the district.
Main Requirements
• Educated to degree level with a relevant professional qualification
• Relevant Management and leadership experience
• Experience of supervising practitioners
• Experience of working with Children and Families who have lived with domestic abuse
• Experience of managing safeguarding and responding to the needs of families who have experienced complex trauma.
• Ability to work with partners to deliver a joined-up service.
• Ability to represent Family Action and the Survive and Thrive partnership at strategic meetings and contribute to discussion and decision-making processes.
Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service
