- Additionally, £480 home-based allowance pro rata per annum

Family Action is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Media-PR Assistant to support our festive communications efforts during the Christmas period, which helps us to drive donations so that we can support more families in the future. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for media relations who wants to develop their skills working on campaigns, strong writing skills, and an interest in supporting impactful community work.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Drafting compelling localised press releases that highlight Family Action’s Christmas initiatives and services, and distributing these
2. Collaborate and coordinate with Family Action’s services to gather information on Christmas activities and imagery for media use.
3. Monitor media coverage, log results, and compile coverage reports using our media monitoring system.
4. Support and log media enquiries and contacts

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• Interest in media relations or communications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and people skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across teams
