Salary: Grade 2, point 16-19: £25,221 - £27,780 FTE per annum (£15,132.60 - £16,668.00 per annum, pro rata for 22.2 hrs)

Location: Based in Central Bradford, working across the Bradford District

Our main office is in Bradford city centre, however support sessions are delivered across the Bradford district.

Hours: One full time post (37 hours per week) and one part time post (22.2 hours per week over 3 days)

Contract: Fixed term – 12 months from start date. Extension of contracts subject to funding

The Survive and Thrive Integrated Children’s Service provides specialist support to children, young people and families affected by domestic abuse. We are seeking a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to deliver trauma-informed support to children and young people, helping to reduce the impact of trauma and support the rebuilding of safe, healthy relationships following domestic abuse.

Main Responsibilities:
• Completing whole family assessments to identify need
• Building support plans with families to address the impact of domestic abuse
• Delivering trauma informed interventions with children, young people and their families

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• Experience of working directly with children, young people and their families where there has been domestic abuse.
• An understanding and experience of trauma informed approaches to working with children and families
• Experience of safeguarding risk assessment, identifying safeguarding concerns and following procedures

Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service – Enhanced Child Workforce Child Barred Lists
