Introduction to the role
The Finance department provides the complete finance function which includes payroll to the whole organisation- and its approximately 950 employees- overseeing all the 165 services across England, addressing all issues and processing payments to meet the demands of staff and external agencies.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager who can provide leadership and support to our in house payroll team as well ensure accurate and timely payment of staff salaries. A motivated, passionate and experienced Payroll Manager with an impressive track record of delivering high quality payroll function. You will strive for excellent standards, with a holistic approach to payroll and other employee benefits deductions management such as Pensions, Cycle to Work, Health Insurance etc.

Your impact
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll requirements of the organisation ensuring accurate and timely payment of monthly salaries. You will be up to date and compliant with general payroll regulations. Take responsibility for the completion of the ongoing implementation of the new payroll system ensuring that payroll team are trained effectively.

Your skills
Sound understanding of payroll processes and ability to perform complex pay calculations coupled with a good level of competence in Excel and working experience of iTrent HR and payroll system. Able to work under pressure, achieve targets and meet deadlines. You will be a confident communicator and comfortable working in a small team environment where priorities can change at short notice.
