Sessional Pre-school Assistant
Service: Peterborough Pre-schools and HAF
Salary: £12.71 per hour (national rate)
Location: Peterborough, working across five settings
Hours: Sessional, as required

Are you a skilled early years worker who is looking for a varied role? We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work across all five of our pre-schools in Peterborough providing emergency and pre-booked cover. In addition, we will have occasional opportunities to support our holiday food and activity clubs working with primary school aged children. If you enjoy meeting new people, are passionate about supporting young children to learn and develop through play and an independent car driver then this role could be for you.
Main Responsibilities:
You will be providing support as an assistant at each of our five early years settings, with occasional opportunities to support at our HAF club.
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• You will hold an early years and childcare qualification at a minimum of level 2.
• You will be an energetic, self-motivated and innovative individual.
• You will hold a full driving licence and have daily access to a vehicle with proof available of MOT, tax and suitable insurance.
• Good written skills.
• You will have experience working with young children, including with supporting children with additional needs.
• You will have experience of following best safeguarding practice.
• Ability to be flexible when required to change work schedules.
• Ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
