Salary: £24,971 - £27,504 FTE (Pro-rata - £14,982 - £16,502)
Location: Medway, Kent - Hybrid working
We typically work across the community throughout the week, allowing time to come together as a team in our shared office space. Our office space is wheelchair accessible.
Hours: Part-time - 22.2 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Peer Support Coordinator to work within our Start for Life service. The programme’s objective is to join up and enhance services delivered through transformed family hubs and across the local community in local authority areas, ensuring all parents and carers can access the support they need when they need it.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide support to parents and carers so they are able to nurture their babies and children, improving health and education outcomes for all
• Contribute to a reduction in inequalities in health and education outcomes for babies, children and families across England by ensuring that support provided is communicated to all parents and carers, including those who are hardest to reach and/or most in need of it
• Build the evidence base for what works when it comes to improving health and well-being, providing holistic peer support to families.
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• As a Peer Support Coordinator, you will oversee the peer support within our service. Developing a range of evidence based resources and activities to support parents emotional health. The Peer Support Coordinator will have a key understanding of Perinatal Mental Health, looking into areas of need drawing from best practice. They will have the opportunity to build strong and effective networks with other peer support services to embed support in Universal and Targeted services

The successful candidate will be highly personable, with first-rate communication and organisational skills. A driving license and access to your own car is desirable for this post.
